Why now

Three years ago, this job barely existed.

Search "GTM Engineer" on LinkedIn for 2023 and you'll find almost nothing. No job posts, no courses, no YouTube tutorials. Companies only recently realised they need someone technical sitting between sales, marketing and revenue ops, building the systems that make the whole engine run.

So everyone doing this work today started recently. There are no GTM engineers with ten years of experience, because the role hasn't been around for ten years.

The people who start now become the experienced ones when companies begin hiring senior GTM engineers and GTM engineering leads. That window is open right now, and it won't stay open forever.

What the job looks like

A real request from my work.

A message comes in overnight: "We need to enrich 5,000 leads from our client's webinar. Pull their LinkedIn profiles, company size, funding stage, tech stack and recent job changes. Score them and send the top 200 to sales."

Done by hand40 hours

An intern researches each lead on LinkedIn, one by one.

Done by a GTM engineer90 minutes

A Clay workflow enriches, scores and routes every lead automatically.

Another team spent 2 hours a day finding emails for cold outreach. I built a system that takes a list of companies, finds the right person at each one, verifies the email and drafts a personalised first message. Now it takes 5 minutes.

Companies pay well for this because almost nobody on their team knows how to build it. This cohort teaches you to build exactly these systems.

Who's teaching

Hi, I'm Ritu. I didn't start technical either.

My first job was in sales, as a Relationship Manager at a bank. I left within 3 months. Later I joined an influencer marketing agency in business development and grew into Growth Head, leading a team of 34.

Years ago, while I was earning ₹37K a month, I spent ₹60K on a course. My parents didn't know. My elder brother funded it, with no real hope of getting his money back. That decision taught me to keep investing in myself, and I've put lakhs into learning since.

In 2024 I taught myself Clay from LinkedIn posts, YouTube and Clay University. I didn't wait for job posts. I built workflows for companies I wanted to work with, recorded Loom walkthroughs, and cold-pitched them.

I'm not smarter than you. I learned a skill very few people had, and I started early. This cohort is everything I did, turned into a 12-week system.

Who it's for

No background required. Effort is.

This is for you if

  • You want to learn sales and automation, whatever your background.
  • You figure things out yourself: you Google it or ask AI before asking anyone.
  • You can give 10–15 hours a week.

It's not for you if

  • You aren't ready to learn new things. You don't need to code, but this does get technical.
